In der historischen Anthropologie geht es um die geschichtliche Bedingtheit und Wandelbarkeit anthropologischer Grundstrukturen. Untersucht werden Lebensform und Verhaltensweisen in verschiedenen Epochen und Kulturen, um die oft langfristige Veränderung menschlicher Grundsituationen und elementarer Verhaltensmuster zu erkennen. In der Zeitschrift „Paragrana“ werden besonders aktuelle Probleme und Fragestellungen unserer eigenen Epoche behandelt.
"Paragrana" is an international journal of historical anthropology. It is dedicated to the continuing study of phenomena and structures of human conduct after the collapse of an obliging abstract anthropological norm. The area of contention between history, anthropological critique, and the humanities is researched and questions are asked which make these studies productive for new kinds of paradigmatic exploration.
